You Are Worth It

It Amazes Me

so this all has gone so much better than i ever thought it would. back in 2007, which seems like ages ago, i put my first video on youtube. it was just out of boredom and i figured, “what the heck? i love to sing, why not see what other people think?” so me and my cousin put the first video on, and wow…

never in my life would i ever have thought that it would become what it has become.

never in my life would i ever have thought i would have almost a million views on one video and over three million views on all of the videos put together. 

and then the comments and messages i get from people all over the world. it is just so cool to me that people watch my videos and listen to my music all over the U.S. and in other countries. it really amazes me. like i’m just a random girl from wisconsin, i never dreamed that the videos i put up would reach so many people.

it feels so good to be able to share my music with all of you and for me to be able to inspire people. getting the messages saying, “you inspired me to start playing guitar”, puts a huge smile on my face every time i see it. i never imagined that i would inspire people with my music, songs that i’ve written and cover songs.

i write songs with a hope that they will relate to you guys, and for you all to know that you’re not alone. we all have hard times. life gets difficult. it’s just a fact of life, but it’s comforting to know that as you’re going through the hard times, there’s always someone out there that feels the exact same way and is going through the same thing. it’s not necessarily going to make it all better, but it lets you know that you are not alone. i hope that the songs i write do relate to you guys and the struggles, and joys, that you go through in life.

i am so passionate about music and i just hope that you all go out and find something that you’re passionate about. don’t let anyone stop you. it’s your life and you should live it while doing the things that you enjoy most.

Being Human

in reality, everyone in your life is going to let you down. it’s just part of being human and imperfect. you know? we aren’t always going to always do everything right, we aren’t always going to be able to please everyone. we just have to get used to that realization because that really can take a lot of weights off your shoulders. the sooner we realize that people will let us down, no matter how close you are, the better off we will be and the less stress that will be caused.
your best friend, your parents, your brothers, sisters, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, everyone, at some point or another, will let you down and will possibly make you question the person you thought you knew. chances are though, they still are the wonderful person you knew they were all along, they were just guilty of one thing: being human.

That's The Beauty Of It...

of life, of course…

it goes by.

not giving a care if your ready or not.

it drags you with it.

despite the fact that you want to stay there in the moment.

it keeps going.

even when you’re not sure you’re strong enough to move on.

it doesn’t give you a choice.

it messes with you’re head.

but through all these things…

it makes you stronger through the obstacles it at throws you.

it makes us the people we are today and the people we will be years from now.

everyday, no matter how hard it may be, makes us stronger, whether we realize it or not.

…and somehow, no matter how bad things may get, we always seem to make it through.

I Need The Perfect Words

in church today, they sang the song Here I Go Again by Casting Crowns. it really spoke to me. the lyrics to that song are so powerful.
we all have those people that we know that don't know Christ. those people that, if they were to die today or if He were to come today, they would not be going to Heaven. how terrible would we feel if we knew that we had opportunities to bring the Lord into their lives? that we could have influenced some good into their lives and maybe stopped that from happening? family, friends, acquaintances, how do we tell them about Him with the right words that they will actually hear and take in? what are the correct words? we have to tell them that He loves them before it's too late, cause when it's too late, it's too late. you can't go back and help them. you can't go back and be like "oh wait, i didn't think this would happen so lemme go back and talk to them about God to save them from Hell." that can't happen. if they have never heard about Him or His word, how will they know? how will they know that they're not living their lives the way they should, if we don't tell them? they won't. it's our job to show them and to help them follow Him and learn from His word. we care about them...a lot, and maybe the best way to show that we care is to bring Him into their lives. talk to them about Him and bring His word to their ears. let them know that he does love them no matter what they've done or how bad their past may be. He has loved them since the day they were born and will continue to love them forever. we have to act before it's too late.
