It Amazes Me

so this all has gone so much better than i ever thought it would. back in 2007, which seems like ages ago, i put my first video on youtube. it was just out of boredom and i figured, “what the heck? i love to sing, why not see what other people think?” so me and my cousin put the first video on, and wow…
never in my life would i ever have thought that it would become what it has become.
never in my life would i ever have thought i would have almost a million views on one video and over three million views on all of the videos put together.
and then the comments and messages i get from people all over the world. it is just so cool to me that people watch my videos and listen to my music all over the U.S. and in other countries. it really amazes me. like i’m just a random girl from wisconsin, i never dreamed that the videos i put up would reach so many people.
it feels so good to be able to share my music with all of you and for me to be able to inspire people. getting the messages saying, “you inspired me to start playing guitar”, puts a huge smile on my face every time i see it. i never imagined that i would inspire people with my music, songs that i’ve written and cover songs.
i write songs with a hope that they will relate to you guys, and for you all to know that you’re not alone. we all have hard times. life gets difficult. it’s just a fact of life, but it’s comforting to know that as you’re going through the hard times, there’s always someone out there that feels the exact same way and is going through the same thing. it’s not necessarily going to make it all better, but it lets you know that you are not alone. i hope that the songs i write do relate to you guys and the struggles, and joys, that you go through in life.
i am so passionate about music and i just hope that you all go out and find something that you’re passionate about. don’t let anyone stop you. it’s your life and you should live it while doing the things that you enjoy most.
you guys make my life.

  1. Hi! just wanted to comment on your blog. I think you have found alot of great ways to express yourself, youtube, twitter ect... and the fact that we all get to share those thoughts and emotions is amazing. I remember being your age sitting in my bedroom writing songs and poems, singing, knowing that nobody would ever see or hear of me and other than my family no one ever has but I did it anyways because I loved it. I am almost 32 now and I still write and I still sing my heart out(though only in private):) because I love it and on a good day I can get really inspired and write a pretty good poem or journaling to my son or daughter telling them how amazing they are and just be proud and happy to be alive. My daughter is 9 and this year in school had the only singing solo out of the whole school in the spring concert.I was blown away. It reminds me that we can do anything, anything is possible. It reminds me that that little voice inside your head telling you you can or cant do something can be pretty loud sometimes.I see you sing and can feel in my own heart how much you love it and it brightens my day. I am amazed at The technology we have now that enables us to experience such amazing things. Its just a blessing to know that there are people out there willing to share everything they have and adore with complete strangers. The world is such a better place because of people like you.
Please keep smiling, laughing, loving, living and most importantly sharing. Its what makes the world go round. and if anything ever doesnt turn out the way you hoped know that it wasnt meant to be. whats meant to be will all come one day.
    many blessings,
    Ann
